This short story follows Adam Abbot as he navigates a tortured existence of bullying, domestic abuse, and the constant physical pain of having his teeth repeatedly fall out with no end in sight.

There’s a lot to unpack from this wild, cerebral tale set in Knob Noster, Missouri, 1956. When I read it the first time, it was like witnessing a waking nightmare where I had to see the ending. It’ll leave you pondering upon its surreal imagery and powerful themes long after you finish.
