It’s been several months since my last update and I’m sorry! I like to keep these few and far between but full of juicy details. So to get right into the thick of it, here we go:
Mystery Project: For the past few months I’ve been working on something really awesome. I didn’t want to reveal too much, too soon because I wasn’t sure how it would come out, but now that I’m finished (and because the fantastic individuals I worked with, love it), I can spill the beans!
So, there’s this multimedia company called Nanomyte Studios and they’re working really hard to bring an amazing piece of work to you all in the form of a comic called Injection. I first stumbled upon Injection while browsing new stories on Wattpad. Immediately, I was hooked. The visuals, the world, the animation. All of it simply took my breath away. So, me being super excited about the fun work these guys were creating, I messaged them to see if they’d respond. And they did!
Everyone I’ve talked to from Nanomyte has been extremely kind and patient. They responded with enthusiasm and genuine interest after I inquired about working with them on a new story. Welcoming me with open arms, Nanomyte provided me with every means to enter the world of Injection and write a fan-fiction worthy of it being published under their name. I’m so grateful to Mike and his team for putting up with me and my questions regarding the lore and characters, and the time they sacrificed to read and critique the work I sent them. So thanks Nanomyte team for all the great help!
In regards to the story itself, it’s a prequel, of sorts, to the main comic called Injection: Tides of War. It stars the mysterious DEITY named Shan-Li (prior mentor to Jinn) and her most dangerous mission to date in the vile region of The Blackout Zone. After their stealth jet is shot out of the sky, Shan and a lone member of Syntech Special Forces, Rew Durryl, must fight their way through the treacherous wasteland in order to find information on a powerful weapon created by the rival organization, MALMAL. But what they find is much worse than a weapon, and if left in the hands of the enemy could very well change the tides of war in their favor….
Currently, I’m editing and revising the twelve chapter novella, and a release date should be coming soon. Nanomyte is also developing some awesome artwork for the story, most likely by the talented Andrew Kwan (creator of GEL), so I’m looking forward to seeing his awesome work bring ToW to life.
